Pakistan is privileged enough to have a significant youth population, constituting 29% between the ages of 15 and 29. Harnessing the potential of this demographic through modern technical education and vocational training could propel the country to new heights of progress. Addressing the economic challenges requires a focused approach, and the recent introduction of Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) reforms, particularly under the TVET Reforms Support Program, aims to provide vertical and horizontal mobility for learners. This initiative is crucial for earning qualifications through diverse pathways, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of the nation.

The role played by foreign stakeholders, such as NAVTTC (National Vocational and Technical Training Commission) and STEVTA (Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority), in uplifting the TVET sector in Pakistan, especially in Sindh province, is highly commendable. Notably, the involvement of GIZ (German Corporation for International Cooperation) in providing technical assistance is praiseworthy. The active participation of the private sector is recognized as instrumental for promoting and delivering quality training on a global scale. To make the TVET system more responsive to the job market and globally competitive, it is essential to enhance employer participation in the assessment process. The Trade Testing Board Sindh (TTBS), serving as a Qualification Awarding Body, plays a vital role in conducting traditional examinations under the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) and awarding qualifications through the National Vocational Qualification Framework (NVQF). This encompasses both formal and informal sectors, as well as qualifications awarded through the Sindh –II program, commonly known as S-II. Alhamdolillah, TTBS is making continuous progress through the dedicated efforts and hard work of its dynamic team, remaining committed to providing valid, reliable, flexible, and fair assessment services to the entire satisfaction of its clients.
